Following the demise of Alvaston Rangers Football Club at the end of the 08/09 season, the players and parents were keen to keep the team together and continue their development as a football team. The Alvaston Rangers under 11s team had been managed by Gareth Tudgay, supported by Paul Davis during the 08/09 season and the team grew stronger and stronger as the season progressed. Due to work commitments, Gareth Tudgay decided to step down as manager and Paul Davis took on the role with the support of all parents.
Paul’s enthusiasm and passion for the team led him to approach Boulton Lane Park Raiders Football Club in the search for a well organised football club that the team could call their new home. The club committee very kindly offered the team the opportunity become part of their club and welcomed the lads with enthusiasm and encouragement.
As the 09/10 season will be the first season that the team have represented Boulton Lane Park Raiders, the lads are committed to thanking the club through playing to the best of their ability and hopefully delivering a good level of success along the way.
Best of luck lads!!
A special thank you goes to the committee of Boulton Lane Park Raiders, who’s professionalism and organisation is rarely seen in Sunday football leagues.
Working towards FA Charter Standards
WINNING IS NICE BUT ENJOYMENT IS EVERYTHING!!
The club is working towards FA Charter Standards at the moment and just about everything is in place for us to obtain it. We work hard and play fair, we expect the best from the children and will give them everything they need to succeed and reach their own potential in football. We expect children and parents to abide by the club policies and procedures and code of conduct. In return, we offer excellent training, support and commitment for each child and for that child to develop as part of a team.
The thrills and spills of the Premier League are back and, to celebrate, we are giving away three volumes of Premier League Classic Matches on DVD!
